Markets and Clients

Our focus and clients are in the area of higher education, research laboratories, and K-12 school projects.

•  We have recently completed renovations at Morrison Residence Hall, Wilson Hall – School of Biology, and Brauer Hall  - School of Dentistry. Total construction cost for these three buildings exceeds $42 million dollars. Other projects under construction at this time at UNC-Chapel Hill are Rosenau Hall, School of Public Health, and Hanes Hall. Other projects near completion or recently completed are three client dormitories at Caswell Center, a NC Department of Health and Human Services Facility in Kinston NC. This project involved working on full building systems and architectural renovations to modernize these buildings.  
  
• We are also providing design services for a new 160,000 square feet middle school in Guilford County, NC.  
  
• At Wake County Public Schools, we completed numerous projects including additions and renovations to Douglas Elementary school and renovations of Hedingham Middle school. We have designed air conditioning and electrical upgrade for one middle school and five elementary schools, most of them under construction and to be completed by end of August 2008. We are also involved in studies to determine needs and scope of work, along with projected construction costs, to modernize Apex High School (student population of over 2500) and Stough Elementary School. These two projects are estimated to cost nearly $40 million dollars. 
  
• Our design team provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection design services for a new physics and chemistry laboratory for Oklahoma State University. At Elon University, our team designed systems for the Students Health Center and two dormitories. At North Carolina Central University we designed a new 350-bed dormitory.  
  
• Sigma Engineered Solutions, PC, in partnership with the world renowned architectural firm of Perkins + Will, are renovating the Nanaline Research Facility and Clinical and Research (CaRL) building at Duke Medical School in Durham, NC.
